There is a medieval Nordic ballad named Raven brings runes. It speaks from the position of a young maiden whose betrothed knight has taken off and is sailing away on a ship- in her desperation she turns to the Raven, the cosmic connector, trickster and shaman of many different cultures around the northern hemisphere. She asks the Raven to bring runes to turn the wind and recover her lost love. I read this as a basic call to connectivity which is particularly urgent in a world where we certainly need those runes that can turn the wind and recover connectivity.
The medieval runes spell a prayer for Raven to bring runes and recover connctedness. This prayer is found in the Medieval ballad "Ravn Fører Runer" and says: "Hør du Rafn hvad jeg siger dig. kanst du iche føre Runer med dig?" [Here you Raven what I ask of you. Can you not bring runes with you?]
