The Raven symbol is a merge between different kinds of bodies, human and bird. This makes the Raven symbol queer in the sense suggested by the American queer scholar Donna Haraway who sees queerness from the perspective of rejecting rigid boundaries of antagonistic Western dualisms, for instance man vs. woman, human vs machine and human vs animal.
